The price tag for the grace and peace Christians enjoy- was one life.

Like everyone else, I was a sinner once, and my thoughts were, “If God is anything like the people I ran around with who called themselves Christians, I, as a sinner, had as good a chance of going to heaven as they did.”

I don’t think there is a more clear picture in the bible of the God we serve than the one Paul has painted for us in these dozen verses of Scripture.

Our bible is more than a dust collector; you know. It is the, Living, (Logos) Word of God in written form.

The best news the death row inmate can hear is not that he has been given a stay of execution, but that there is a whole other level of life he can attain if he will change his status from a slave of sin that keeps him on death row, to that of a slave to God where true freedom is a right and not a privilege.

“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” They had a desire to do the same works Jesus was doing and they knew His works were done through faith. I’m sure His response caught them by surprise as much as it does most of us.

Abram was a man just like us, so really he was nothing special as far as men go. He was a common man who developed an uncommon trust in the Lord Most High.

If we read the story of Abram’s life, we just might learn that when we are faithful to God, He is even more faithful to fulfill His promises to us.

“Does the Lord who saved us from certain death on a particular day have to honor a person with eternal life, even though that person refuses to honor Him for what He did for them?” I don’t think so.
