The Great Day of God
Fool! Hell was not created for man, but a person can choose to go there if that is their desire. God does not send people to hell; people have to make a conscious decision they want to go there, and God will honor their wishes. He won’t force a person to go to heaven if they are determined to go to hell, but He will see that you honor your decision. Or, in other words, once a person sees what hell is like, they won’t be able to change their minds and tell God they now want to go to heaven. It doesn’t work that way. By faith, we believe God that He is who He says He is, and make a decision to honor Him, and by faith, we make a decision to reject Him and go to hell. God honors our decisions, and He will see that we also honor them.
The bible teaches us, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” This short scripture pretty well sums up the future of America. If God is the Lord of our nation, it will be blessed. If not, the future of our nation is in doubt. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want the future of my children to be in doubt. I want to know they can grow up under the influence of God and enjoy the same rights and privileges I have enjoyed in my lifetime.
What is the Kingdom of God Like?
When I read what Jesus has to say about certain things such as these illustrations describing God’s kingdom, it just blows me away. It is during those times that I realize, God is so big that He can rule His vast domain, but yet small enough to live inside us and care about our every problem. I don’t know about you, but that wows me.
God Rested on the Seventh Day
Spiritual beings were around a long time before man came on the scene and they got along just fine before, so, why did God decide to start creating an environmentally controlled planet called earth that possessed a heavens, a sun and moon to provide heat and light, and stocking it with plants and animals, precious jewels, gold, silver, oil, and such? Why were these things necessary? Keeping that thought in mind; I don’t do anything without a reason. As a matter of fact, I don’t know anyone who does things just for the sake of doing things. Are you with me? So, when God started creating all the above listed things; could it be that He had a reason for doing so? Could it be that He was building a home for His children and stocking it with everything they would need to survive for eons to come?
Dark and Light
Jesus summed it up with these words, “When the blind (those who live in darkness) lead the blind, they both fall into a ditch.” What a sad epitaph for people who were created to be so great.
Many Are Called, But Few Are Chosen
Instead of looking at what He did for mankind to improve our lot in life, we only turn to Him when we have run out of options; and as quick as He meets our needs we are off to doing our own thing again. One day we will come to understand Christ Jesus is not our sugar-daddy and following Him for what we can get from Him is a sin.
Killing Time Will Kill You
“But bring here those ‘enemies’ of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.”
Is God in the House of God?
The next logical step in this sequence is to update the seating accomodations in our churches to the twenty-first century by adding reclining pews with neck rests and remotes so we can turn the preacher on and off, or up or down when we want to.
Bring Them To Me
It’s time for the church to stop making excuses and get about the Father’s business.
Seeing Beyond The Here and Now
The kingdom of God can function without us, but we cannot function without its life support system. So if we think that what we see is all there is to life, we are foolish and it goes against everything we understand about our world. The coin without man setting the value of it, is nothing but a piece of metal and is good for nothing. Mankind without God placing a value on us are nothing but ‘tares’ of which Jesus said would be gathered together at the end of this age and burned because they have no value in the kingdom of God.
