Are we a bunch of phoneys? Or just a bunch of misguided souls searching for the truth.

Are we a bunch of phoneys? The world will tell you we are; but are we really? Or are we just a bunch of misguided souls looking for the truth? I personally believe the world thinks we’re a bunch of phoneys because we’re confused about who we are and what we are supposed to be doing for the kingdom of God as members of the body of Christ. A Christian is a child of God who has been given the authority to act in God’s behalf meeting the spiritual and physical needs of mankind. Jesus and the first church turned the world upside down doing the works of God and because we are not doing the same today, we say all that passed away with the apostles when they died. Nothing could be further from the truth and nowhere in the bible does it say anything God institutes passes away. However, the bible does say in 1 John 4:17, “As He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world.” Which means what Jesus was, and is, to the world, we are to imitate and do likewise. We cannot save people from their sin in the sense Jesus did, but we can save them from hell with our preaching, healing their illnesses, delivering them from their demons and feeding the poor of this world. Not only should we be doing these things for lost man, but Our Father fully expects us to use the authority that has been given to us to carry out our functions as kings over His domain which includes the aforementioned things. In this area Christians have failed miserably and instead of being kings and priests unto our God; we have become slaves to a world system designed by our eternal enemy, Satan. As a result of the pitiful state of today’s Christian; we walk through life like zombies, mired up to our neck in debt, sick, mentally ill, broke, on welfare, and begging for handouts from our government. No wonder the world thinks Christians are a bunch of phoneys.
The Apostle John writing in the book of Revelation 1:5-6 gives us a clear picture of who the children of God are to the King of Glory; “Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen”
So what is it exactly that keeps the present day church from carrying out God’s commandment to establish His domain upon the earth? Is it fear? Or maybe laziness? Or a lack of desire? Or could it be just plain old unbelief? Lord forbid, your church should be guilty of unbelief and using that as an excuse for not doing what you commanded us to do. It is my opinion that the church has been in unbelief for so long we no longer recognize there is a devil and what his intentions are. Instead of our church leaders preaching on sin and the results of it, they preach a feel good message that can’t save anyone and the devil is never mentioned in them. Jesus said in John 10:10; “The thief, or the devil, comes to steal, kill and to destroy, but He came that we might have life and life more abundantly, or Life to the fullest measure.” To me, Life to the fullest measure means we have the right to be healthy, wealthy, and wise, which is exactly what you did for so many people during your time on earth. You healed the sick and twisted bodies of God’s people so they could pursue the means to become all they could become. For your church to not be in possession of these things means the devil has stolen from us our ability to believe and as a result of our inability to believe we have been deceived into thinking sickness and mental illness and so forth is a part of your plan for your children. Nothing could be further from the truth. You are a good God, a great God, whose desire is for your children to live as Jesus lived; full of wisdom but persecuted, loved by those who knew Him and feared by those who hated Him; this was the price He paid, and one we should be willingly to pay for doing the work of God in the earth today.
