Evil in the Garden (Part four)

Journal Entry: Tuesday, July 11, 2006

The times haven’t changed all that much since God destroyed the earth by water in the days of Noah. People still love evil more than they love God, and they are still killing thousands and thousands of men and women around the world each year for their land, their possessions, or because people have a different belief system than they do. Even in this country there are people who will kill another human being for a few measly dollars that isn’t worth the paper it is written on. There are people who murder with a gun, and there are those who murder with a  scalpel, one is illegal, the other one is legal. One is wrong by heavenly law, the other legalized by man’s law. But every murderer will be judged by heavenly law which supercedes the law of man. And there are people who confess to know Christ and call themselves Christians who drive many more people away from Christ than they lead to Him. By the very life they live and the lies they spew out of their mouth they are leading others down the path to an eternal hell. The word Christian by which people call themselves means ‘little-Christ,’ or ‘Christ-like.’ So when people say they are a Christian; they are proclaiming to the rest of the world, “I am a little-Christ. This is what Christ is like.” The sad truth is most people who call themselves Christian are anything but ‘little-Christ’ or ‘Christ-like’; they don’t know Jesus Christ personally; they don’t act like Him, and they don’t understand that His greatest desire is for them to walk in the blessings He provided for them.

If we take a good look at the over-all condition of the modern day church we would understand why the Christian is in the condition he is in; and we would come to the conclusion that God is against mankind and especially His church. Most people who attend our churches are ignorant of God’s will and purpose for their life, they are broke, sick and disgusted, they are having children out of wedlock, divorcing their spouses, caught up in pornography etc. etc. etc.; and the world that is hurting and living in unbelief seeks comfort in bars and from drug dealers because they know the things Christian are doing are wrong. They also know the church of Almighty God is suppose to be a reflection of the God we serve. And when the world views the church of God as being a weak institution; they see God as being a weak God. When the modern day church emanates this kind of weakness to the rest of the world, why do our church leaders think people are going to break down their doors to come in and get what they’ve got? I wouldn’t, you wouldn’t, and the world isn’t either.

It was never God’s intention for man to be ignorant of who He is, broke, sick and disgusted. He intended for man to live at the level He created him to live in the beginning. Adam was created to be a king, and to rule and reign on earth forever. But, man has been deceived into thinking because he has sinned, God is against him. That is not even close to the truth. God loves mankind enough that He gave the life of His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ the Savior of mankind, that we could be restored to fellowship with Him, and through that association man could regain the stature Adam enjoyed before his fall. Man is suppose to reign in life  just as Jesus did when He walked the earth as a man. Jesus, the Son of God, was the example God the Father sent of Himself for the Christian believer to learn from and imitate. Adam failed miserably, but Jesus the second Adam fulfilled the expectation of God for mankind, and demonstrated the powers Adam possessed before the fall. And when we as Christians learn to let God direct our lives and live as God intended for us to live; He will be exalted in the earth and receive the glory due Him. But for whatever reason; most men have chosen to believe the lies of our enemy just as Adam did; and to the Christian’s shame we live way below the level of life God intended as though no God existed at all.
