Are You Crazy? God’s Mute. He Doesn’t Talk To People.

Paul writes to the Corinthian Church in chapter 2 beginning in verse 9, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” He goes on to say in verse 10, “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one know the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.”

Notice the words I high-lighted above “God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.” What has God revealed? The ‘Deep Things of God‘. To whom does He reveal them? The children of God. Notice Paul said, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Paul writing to the Christians in Corinth is telling them the unsaved people of this world who think God doesn’t care about us mere humans don’t have a clue what God is doing, or is about to do. But not so for the people whom God loves. So the next time worldly people want to argue with you about things of which they know nothing of; just smile at them and walk away.

You may be thinking, “I attend church regularly and I have never heard this scripture. I don’t have a clue what you are talking about when you say, “The Deep Things of God.” Well, you are not alone. Most people who attend church do not understand the ministry of the Holy Spirit, and many of them do not even know He exists, and many more do not understand that He is on earth to help us understand the ‘Deep Things of God’. God doesn’t withhold any good thing from His people. So, if He doesn’t withhold any good thing from us, He certainly isn’t going to withhold from us what He plans to do. If He did, that would be withholding a good thing from those who love Him; don’t you think? God isn’t like that. What are you talking about, dthrash, when you say, ‘The Deep Things of God’? God has written down His Word for us to study, memorize, and apply to our life. Our bible is more than a dust collector; you know. It is the, ‘Living, (Logos) Word of God’ in written form. It is just as alive today in written form as it was in fleshly form when Jesus, who was the Word of God, [John 1:14] walked the earth. God has given us His Word in both fleshly form and in written form so we could see Him working in the lives of men, so we could understand Him, and know what His plans are for us, His plan for the earth, and His plan for the rebellious sinners. It is all in the bible which is His personal love letter to you. But if you don’t read His love letter and ask Him questions about the portions of it you don’t understand, you are being cheated out of what belongs to you, your family, and your friends. The Holy Spirit’s job is to teach you about God the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, and while teaching you about them, He should become the best friend you ever had. But if you don’t know He exists, He can’t be that friend you need.

The Holy Spirit is our Teacher, our Spiritual Guide, our Mentor, and as you know, a teacher who cares about their students and their success never shuts up, they are constantly in the teaching mode because they want to make sure the student understands the subject matter. They will keep going over the same material until they know it is understood. The Holy Spirit is like that. He is always talking to you about the important things of life. You must learn to recognize His voice, and follow His directions if you want to avoid the mistakes you’ve made in the past. I can tell you, “What the Holy Spirit teaches is always in line with God’s Word. “It will not vary one degree because He is God, just like the Son is God, and they are in complete agreement with the Father on everything.” So if you hear a voice speaking to you telling you to do something that does not line up with the Word of God found on the pages of your bible, that voice is not the Holy Spirit speaking to you, and it is not from God. The Holy Spirit does not tell people to go murder another person. The Holy Spirit will not tell you to kidnap a child. But He will teach you to look at that person as your equal because we are both made in the image of God, and that child as if he or she were our own son or daughter. God wants us to know Him, He wants us to become like Him, so He doesn’t withhold information from us. We withhold it from ourselves when we don’t read His Word. Read God’s Word and you will know what His plans are for your life, your city, your country, and the future of this earth. Don’t read it, and watch your life and all that you love go up in smoke right before your very eyes. DThrash

  1. Great post! I love the line “They will keep going over the same material until they know it is understood.” This is so true. The Holy Spirit will keep working on me about a particular truth until I finally get it. Being a bit stubborn, sometimes it takes more than a few lessons! But God is patient with me. In John 14:26 Jesus says, “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” I have found that when I read the Bible, when I have read what Jesus taught, the Holy Spirit will remind me of it when I need to remember it most. Peace, Linda

  2. This is good post. I think still you should add more video and pictures because it helps understanding 🙂
