Your Maker is Your Husband

Isaiah 54:5 reads, “For your Maker is your husband. The Lord of Host is His name: And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel: He is called the God of the whole earth.” Wow! Doesn’t this just take your breath away knowing the God of the whole earth is not only our Maker, but our Husband, and our Redeemer.

I would like to verify who this scripture is talking about using John 1:3 as our text. “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”

The Old Testament is about the Lord of Host; the Holy One 0f Israel. The New Testament is about Jesus Christ; Head of the Church. Regardless of what name He is known by in scripture; He is the Word of God. (John 1:14 & Revelation 19:13)

If we understand who is being talked about in Isaiah 54:5; we will understand what this scripture is telling us.

Who is our Maker? Our Maker is none other than Jesus Christ, the creator of all things.

Who is the Church betrothed to? None other than Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Who is our Savior? None other than Jesus Christ, the Word of God, the Son of God.

Who are we going to be Married to for all eternity? You guessed it. None other than Jesus Christ, the Word of God, the Son of God; the soon coming King who will be the KING of KINGS and THE LORD of LORDS when all things have been redeemed unto Himself.

Wow! And again, I say, “Wow!” The church views itself as nothing more than a forgotten being separated from God by a zillion light years living as orphans on a desolate place called earth. Dear friends, dear friends, hear me. Nothing could be further from the truth. We never leave the mind of God. We are His most prized possession. He is as near to us as the words in our mouth. Romans 10:9 “The Word (of God) is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” (Emphasis mine.)

So let us lay aside every weight that so easily besets us and realize who we are and to whom we belong. If we do these things, every situation in our life will be righted and every enemy defeated. We are not poor little things all alone in this world. The truth is we are never alone. Never!

We are somebody and we are mighty in God and priceless to the One to whom we owe our allegiance, dedication, and life. Believe it and live it. Eternity is upon us.
