Good Bad and Indifferent
What makes one person what they are and another something different? Why are some people good, others bad and others indifferent? Simply put, it boils down to who their spiritual father is. Jesus told a parable in Matthew 13 about Good People whom He called the Good Seed, and Bad People He called the Tares. Jesus identifies the Good Seed as the children of the kingdom and the Tares as the children of the evil one. We all live in this world and have a shot at eternal life. All of us will be harvested and separated from one another at the end of time by the angels who are the reapers. The Tares and all things that offend will be harvested first and burned in the furnace of fire where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. The Good Seed or the children of the kingdom will be harvested last and shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father after the Tares and the indifferent has been separated from them. God is eternal as is everything in His kingdom so upon the expiration of our natural life we will enter eternity unto eternal life or the eternal flame that will never be extinguished.
The question is, “Are we a seed that produces a Weed or are we a Good Seed?” The kind of seed we are determines where we will spend eternity. Some people have a hard time believing in eternity and the afterlife, but they don’t have a problem believing there are people who are billionaires even though most of them have never seen ten thousand dollars at one time. They are willing to make an eternal decision based upon what someone who has not seen a billion dollars or God either has told them is true rather than searching out the truth for themselves. The problem I see in all of this is that most people don’t know who they are, what they were created to be, and do not know what they really believe. They don’t know the truth because they search for it in all the wrong places like drugs, alcohol, sex, money, and material things, but they do not go to the source of truth which is only found in God’s Word. These people are like leaves on a tree. No matter what direction the winds blows the leaves will accommodate the wind by waving in that direction. One thing is for sure; if they don’t find out who they are during this life time, they certainly will in the next one. I pray the bad and indifferent people among us will find the truth now rather than learning later that all this time they have been believing a lie. DThrash
