The Face of the Lord is Against Those Who Do Evil
First of all let me define what an evil doer is and then we will delve into my message. An evil doer is a person who does not obey God’s instructions. And any person who does not willingly follow the Lord is a rebel, and there will not be any rebels in heaven. Only obedient people who love the Lord God and follow His example will be in heaven and all evil doers will be in hell suffering a punishment they can’t begin to imagine. Hell wasn’t made for man; it was made for the devil, but hell will be full of people who ‘lived life their way’.
In 1 Peter 3:10-12 Peter wrote, “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears is open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Peter listed two things that it is absolutely necessary for a person to do who loves life and wants to see good days. (1.) We must learn to think before we speak, (2) and pursue peace when we feel like striking back. Why? Because the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers. Most Christians are not taught the Lord’s ears are open to all of their prayers or that no one can pluck them out of His hands. That’s why they are sick, broke and disgusted with life. And when people don’t read their bibles and aren’t taught God’s Word in the church they attend, it is hard for them to keep their mouth shut when they are being talked about in a degrading manner, and to not strike back when they are being beat upon, but that is exactly what Peter has instructed Christians to do if we love life and want to see good days.
“Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord” in Romans 12:19. God does not want us hurting people because it’s the evil spirit driving them that causes them to say and to do hurtful things to you. Since we are all made in the image of God, we were all created equal. No one is any better than the next person. But if we hit them and say bad things about them, are we not making ourselves something we are not? One man is not the master of another and therefore they do not have the right to beat another person or to speak evil about them. God is the judge whom we all must stand before and He will repay mankind for the evil they do to one another.
No person really wants God against them because it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord for judgment. If we desire to avoid His judgment, let us turn from speaking evil of other people and seeking peace with all men. DThrash
