Political Correctness

We hear a lot about political correctness these days. So what is political correctness? In a nutshell, political correctness is government telling the citizenry what is right and wrong behavior. Right actions are determined by their opinion of how people should act. Really it’s nothing more than humanistic religious rhetoric and has been around for thousands of years. Yes, humanistic reasoning is a form of religion. It is the worship of man and his ability to think through difficult subjects and arrive at an answer that satisfies his own conscious need to be right. Everyone else is wrong. You are now being classified as a home grown terrorist if you think differently than they do. God is wrong because He is outdated or only a figment of our imagination or never existed at all. There are no absolutes except what they determine to be absolute and that changes according to what day of the week it is. What was right in the past is now deemed evil and driven by hate, and anything that was considered evil in the past that does not prick their dead conscious is now right and encouraged.

I find this rather interesting in that the shameful thing we argue about concerning right and wrong behavior are demonstrated for us in nature. In the first chapter of Romans the Apostle Paul writes about these things when he said, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” There is a natural law that says opposites attract and those that are alike, repel. This is an unchanging law, it is an absolute law, and was in effect before man came along and there is nothing we can do to change it. Man may think there are no absolutes except what they determine to be absolute; but there is one set of unchanging absolutes in creation and right and wrong behavior was determined by our Creator long before man set foot on the earth. Where there are no clearly defined absolutes, chaos reigns, and when chaos is loosed, death and destruction soon follows. Their god is any person who can garner enough support to themselves to subject all others to slavery, exile, or death. We have seen this sick thinking raise its ugly head many times in many countries throughout history, and every one of those empires fell because they were not built upon clear cut absolutes.

Man is the source of his problems, therefore he cannot solve his problems. To solve his problems he would have to change his thinking and he can’t change the way he thinks because there is no good thing in him. Man in his fallen state is inherently evil. His thinking is corrupted because it is based upon selfishness, power and greed. His action are polluted because he has no pure motives upon which to base his actions. So how can a corrupt, selfish, polluted, greedy mind know what is best for you and I? It can’t! And therein lies the problem; and why Jesus, the Son of God had to come into the earth, bringing with Him clearly defined absolutes upon which man could build a future full of hope and teach others how to love those who are still in their sin and inspire them to leave behind their Evil selfish nature.
